This Death in Transit policy aims to provide healthcare professionals and their team members with the support to be able to appropriately decide on whether service users, who go into cardiac arrest while in transit, be actively resuscitated or not. It also includes how to recognise death in a service user as well as which facility to transport the deceased person to.

The policy is accordance with the AACE/JRCALC Clinical Practice Guidelines as updated.
