As part of providing person-centred care, and you understand that obtaining consent is essential before administering any type of treatment or undertaking any degree of personal care/examination. It further acknowledges that you fully endorse the ethos behind the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, insofar as children should have the right to express their views and to have their views considered and taken seriously. As such, this policy aims to support our staff in providing each child or young person with relevant information, while ensuring that valid consent to treatment is obtained.
