As a domiciliary care provider registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the regulated activity of Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI), your company may support individuals with delegated healthcare tasks that have been assessed and delegated by a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
Delegated healthcare tasks form part of an individual’s assessed care and treatment needs and may include clinical interventions that would ordinarily be performed by a registered healthcare professional but can be safely delegated to competent care staff following appropriate assessment, training, supervision and ongoing review.
This policy establishes the framework for the safe delegation, acceptance, performance, monitoring and review of healthcare tasks within your company.
